FAQs
Why are you launching your own independent firm?
We decided to launch our own independent firm after two years of careful consideration and due diligence. We believe that independence allows us to better serve our clients’ needs and interests. By partnering with LPL Financial, we gain greater access and control over the services we offer, the research we can leverage, and the range of products and solutions available to us. This transition empowers us to provide more tailored strategies and address your financial challenges more effectively. I wholeheartedly believe this move is in the best interest of our clients
Where will my assets be held? Will they be safe?
Your assets will be held with LPL Financial, the largest broker-dealer for independent financial advisors. Since 1989, LPL has been an industry leader, partnering with over 20,000 financial professionals like myself. More than 7 million clients trust LPL with their nest egg totaling nearly $2 trillion in assets under care. You’ll always have 24/7 access to your account information.
How do I make the move to Graceful Wealth with you?
Once we have had a conversation (give me a call if we have not at 505-227-1551) you will receive electronic paperwork that will transfer all your existing assets in-kind to us. We can of course meet in person if preferred. After your review of the documents and signatures have been received, we can continue to serve you without interruption. We will cover all transfer fees associated with his move and it should not cause any tax implications to you.
I will help you get set up with online access and our mobile app if you would like and officially welcome you Graceful Wealth.
Once all of the accounts are here, we will meet to update your financial plan with our new and improved software
What are the benefits of working with an independent advisor?
The benefits of working with an independent advisor are significant. First, independence means I am free from corporate sales targets, product quotas, or mandates for how many new clients to bring on. This allows me to focus solely on what’s best for you, the client. It encourages a forward-thinking approach, where I can select the best investment strategies based on your individual needs while managing risk effectively.
Additionally, independence gives me the flexibility to adopt cutting-edge technology for financial planning, tax planning, estate planning and retirement strategies. Most importantly, it allows me to be more responsive and cultivate deeper personal relationships with my clients.
Where will I be able to view my accounts?
I will help you set up online access to your accounts though account view on mygracefulwealth.com. You can still receive paper statements mailed to your home of you would prefer.
Where is your office located?
The new office location is 6739 Academy Rd NE Suite 252. Albuquerque, NM 87109. Just down Academy from the previous office in the Academy Office Park. Less than 10 minutes away before.
Can we still meet with you in person?
Absolutely, I will still always remain your primary point of contact for anything you may need. No 1-800 number here! We can meet in person at my new office, over the phone, zoom, a local coffee shop or in the comfort of your own home if you prefer.
Why didn’t you tell us you were leaving?
This was the most challenging part of the move for me. My previous employer had strict covenants in place, and it was important for me to honor those commitments. If I had been able to share the news sooner, I would have loved to do so. I’m really glad you’re here now, and I look forward to an exciting future together!
What happens if I leave my accounts with my previous firm?
The previous firm will likely move clients around the city and pair them with a new financial advisor. Your investments will stay the same but the relationship you value will not. Or if you choose to you can transition with me to Graceful Wealth and continue to work with myself uninterrupted and your investments will also transfer in-kind as is.
Why now?
After a couple of years of due diligence and prayer, rising market concerns and political concerns I felt it was the best time to make this move now. Having better tools to control risk is a huge factor in making this move and I feel it’s important to transition and prepare before the next storm comes so that my client family is better positioned if/when it gets here.
What are the next steps?
It has been an absolute pleasure and blessing to work with you. My hope is to continue our relationship and further serve your financial needs.
If you have additional questions or concerns call me to talk through them at 505-227-1551. I recognize that moving your assets and learning new processes can create some work on your part. My team and I are ready to make the transition as quick and seamless as possible.
I look forward to the opportunity to continue working with you and helping you pursue your financial goals
